It’s great when local business honor their hometown heroes. Tanger Outlets Myrtle Beach has done so by recognizing five individuals in Horry County as this year’s recipients of their Hometown Heroes program. In keeping with Tanger Outlets’ mission to support local communities, Tanger’s Hometown Heroes program is designed to award gift cards to dedicated men and women who serve their communities as members of the Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Departments and others, in the communities where Tanger Outlet Centers are located. I wonder what stores they will shop at!
This year’s recipients in Horry County are:
· Michael Thrower: Public Safety Officer North Myrtle Beach
· Ashley Soucy: Detective with Horry County Police Department
· Chris Aranda: 20 years of service in the U.S. Army
· Darcie Shotts: Conway Fire Department
· CPL Drew Edwards: Horry County Police Department
“Tanger Outlets’ business model is completely reliant on strong communities,” said Steven B. Tanger, Chief Executive Officer of Tanger Outlets. “We are pleased to give back to the brave citizens who work tirelessly to make our communities a great, safe place to live and do business.”
To honor our local hometown heroes leading up July 4th, they asked fans to nominate a deserving member of the community or armed forces for a chance to win a $100 Tanger gift card. To date, Tanger Outlets has donated in excess of $500 in support of local law enforcement and emergency medical departments.
