Myrtle Beach Tourism Marketing Update Open to Public

Skywheel The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting a tourism marketing update Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Crown Reef Resort at 2913 South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.

Shaun Aukland with Google’s travel division will share industry insights and strategies in his presentation, ‘Latest Digital Travel Trends – a look across Social, Mobile and Video’ and answer some audience questions. Following Aukland’s presentation, travel and tourism industry updates will be given by MBACC/CVB Executive Vice President of Marketing Scott Schult and Group Sales Director Danna Lilly.

“We plan on addressing recent marketing activities, research and trends, and sharing some insight into what we collectively have planned for the coming year,” said MBACC/CVB spokesperson Nora Battle, “Periodical updates like this one are important because they help keep Grand Strand community members and travel industry stakeholders informed as to what tourism promoters are doing to sell our beaches, attractions, live entertainment, lodging and restaurants year-round to out-of-market visitors.”

Myrtle Beach International Airport Director Mike LaPier and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday President Bill Golden are also scheduled to present. For more information or to register for the tourism marketing update, visit www.MyrtleBeachAreaChamber.com or call (843) 626-7444.
