Today is National Parents’ Day! Every year on the fourth Sunday of July, we celebrate the value and importance of good parenting. Today is the day that we recognize that most parents are doing their best and we should be here to support them.
According to Punchbowl.com, President Clinton established Parents’ Day in 1994. The Congressional resolution said that this day was established for “recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children.”
Do you know the secret to good parenting? Well neither do we but many parents find that by listening to and being with your children gives you a step in the right direction. So take the time just to hang with your kids, be it on our beautiful beaches in the Myrtle Beach area or in your own backyard. It doesn’t always have to cost to have a great time.
