Barefoot Landing will host Dick’s Last Resort’s 3rd annual “Paddle for the Pets,” featuring a Build Your Own Boat Race to benefit the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.

At 10 a.m., before the festival begins, teams of four or more people will start to build their own boats with various materials: a fun thing to do in North Myrtle Beach. The boat race will be begin at approximately 3 p.m. on the Intracoastal Waterway.
Live entertainment by Pale Horse will be on the deck of Smokin’ Hot Grill & BBQ. There will be a petting zoo, kids’ games, a dunking booth, and even a Furry Fashion Show at 1 p.m., featuring many of the adoptable dogs from the shelter in North Myrtle Beach. An awards ceremony and after party with live entertainment and food and drink specials takes place at Dick’s Last Resort after the race.
