National Night Out (NNO) is a national program that has been in effect for 29 years. It seeks to promote citizen involvement in local crime and drug prevention activities, strengthen police-community partnerships, and encourage residents of neighborhoods to become more familiar with one another, so that they can improve their crime watch and other prevention activities.
North Myrtle Beach will hold the event from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. in the vacant lot next to Docksiders Grille, located just over the swing bridge in Barefoot Resort. All North Myrtle Beach residents are invited to participate.
This is considered a family event and the township is expected to offer free hotdogs, sodas, games, Police and Fire/Rescue vehicle and equipment displays, music, inflatables for the kids to play on and more.
Myrtle Beach’s Neighborhood Watch groups will also participate in National Night Out activities. See the schedule below for times and locations. This yearly crime prevention event is a great get-together for residents and frequently becomes a neighborhood picnic or party.
