It’s National Ice Cream Sandwhich Day!

There is no shortage of sweet treats in Myrtle Beach.  We have some of the best cupcake and cake shops in the country (according to us).  And what about all the frozen yogurt shops that are cropping up? Yum!!

But today we are celebrating ice cream, in fact according to our friends at Punchbowl.com we found out “It’s National Ice Cream Sandwich Day”! Who doesn’t love them?  Doesn’t it bring back memories of hearing the ice cream trucks?

So which is your favorite? In their traditional form, vanilla ice cream is tucked between two thin layers that resemble chocolate cake. Other versions include chipwiches—ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies. Be creative and come up with your own variation – maybe pistachio between 2 cookies?

This is the day you have permission to indulge and because it is a holiday, there are no calories!!!! Last night I was at Barefoot Landing and was lusting after one of those Kohlers cones.  I may have to go back tonight.
