What’s Happening This Weekend: 9/30 – 10/2


You are going to need a jet plane if you are going to hit all the fun events there are in Myrtle Beach this weekend.  It will be hard trying to choose when looking for fun, family affordable things to do. It is also Myrtle Beach Bike week so please be safe on the roads.


Myrtle Beach Greek Festival  at St. John the Baptist Greek Church. Family fun for all featuring all things Greek: food, music, entertainment, crafts and more! Friday and Saturday 11:00am to 10:00pm and Sunday 11:00am  to 7:00pm.

Third Annual Grillers Cup Benefitting Backpack Buddies of Horry County on Friday from @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm and all weekend festivities. If a weekend full of barbecue, live music and silent auctions sounds like a good time to you, mark your calendars for Lakewood Camping Resort’s Third Annual Grillers Cup Hot Pickin’, Finger Lick’n BBQ Cook-Off Sept. 30–Oct. 1. All proceeds of the cook-off, which is sanctioned by the

South Carolina Barbeque Association (SCBA), will once again benefit local nonprofit Backpack Buddies of Horry County

IKF East Coast Kickboxing International Classic Tournament on Saturday at the Crown Reef Conference Center. The IKF East Coast Kickboxing Classic Tournament is one where fighters come from across the United States and abroad to compete in Full Contact Kickboxing!  Although all fighters wear protective gear, they are going for the knockout to win beautiful championship belts!

Pink Out Workout from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The 2 mile walk / run will begin at 9am at the Ashley Booth Field Behind Pepper Geddings at609 33rd Ave. North. The PinkOUT Workout entry fee is $25 for adults and $10 for Children. The first 100 entrants will receive a swag bag courtesy of Ciroc Vodka, Rockin Jump and ASH HOFFMAN jewelry. Other sponsors include Taylor Wellness and Little White Dress-Couture for the Cure, and Big Apple Bagels. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit Caring in Our Lifetime.

Bookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend Festival on Saturday and Sunday from  9:30 am – 4:00 pm. More scarecrows, more animals and more fun! Brookgreen’s annual fall festival, Harvest Home Weekend is from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and is filled with outdoor activities the whole family will enjoy. We’ll have favorite activities such as scarecrow building, pumpkin painting, hayrides, live entertainment, and more.

Pink In the Park Zumba Event in Plyler Park on Saturday from  10:00 am – 12:00 pm. The City of Myrtle Beach’s Recreation Department presents “Pink in the Park,” a Zumba event that helps support the fight against breast cancer. All ages are invited to attend this fun, free event that supports a great cause.

Surfside Beach Family Festival on Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Celebrate the fall with the Surfside Beach SC Family Festival.  We will have arts and crafts vendors, delicious food, and live music.  There will be activities for the kids, and fun for the whole family.   Parking is now easier than ever with the new renovation of Surfside Drive.  Stop in and see the Family Beach!

11th Annual Live Oak Art & Music Fest on Saturday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Presented by CREATE! Conway  October is Arts & Humanities Month and CREATE! Conway kicks off the month with a community celebration of creativity. The Live Oak is a fun, family art event presented under the oaks and on the lawn of the Horry County Courthouse. The Conway fall festival is happening also.

10th ‘Animal’versary Celebration on Saturday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. SC Coastal Animal Rescue & Educational Sanctuary invites everyone to join in as they celebrate on the beautiful Pet Galley campus located at 4494 Bus.17 in Murrells Inlet. Get a group of friends together and come help them celebrate with food plates and desserts to enjoy there or carry out (including vegan dishes & desserts).  Have fun with games, hourly raffles, and live music.  Get a jump on the holidays from a huge holiday gift table of baskets, books, and jewelry, a cook book table, crafts, more jewelry and SC-CARES swag.

7th Annual Myrtle Beach Wine Fest on Saturday at Valor Park, Market Common from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. Free Admission but all guests sampling wine must purchase a wine glass – $5 and are “pay as you go.”Samples range from 2 to 4 tickets and all samples are 2 ounces.

The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art feature Peabo Bryson at 7:00 pm
