You should know by now that we are experiencing a tropical storm to hit tonight and tomorrow and hopefully clear out by Saturday. We hope that the storm leaves without too much damage because there is a lot of family affordable, fun things to do in Myrtle Beach including Coastal Uncorked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Beach, Boogie & BBQ on Saturday (please note that Friday night has been cancelled).
Coastal Uncorked, Chocolate Under the Moon has been moved to the Convention Center. A little rain can’ keep chocolate and mixed drink lovers away.
Grand Strand Bowling for Vets on Friday at 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Little River Bowling Center. The tournament is an excellent way to say thank you to the men and women who have served our country. To say patriotic would not really express the level of honor and emotion that is displayed throughout the weekend.
Improv Jam Session (All Ages) by Carolina Improv Company on Friday at 7:30 pm at the Uptown Theatre, Myrtle Beach Mall. Part show, part class … come hang out with us and learn how we make improv magic happen. Learn a few games or just watch us and other audience members play! Appropriate for all ages. Pops With the Pelicans on Saturday from 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Duplin Winery presents Pops with the Pelicans at TicketReturn.Com Field which features the Grand Strand’s Long Bay Symphony under the direction of Charles Jones Evans. The performance will include a number of familiar selections from popular movies and Broadway shows such as Star Wars, James Bond, West Side Story and Wicked. Other arrangements will include iconic orchestral classics and patriotic favorites. The night will conclude with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, followed by John Philip Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever in conjunction with a fireworks display.
