Now that the kids are out and summer is almost officially here, it’s time to get outside and check out all the free activities that are definitely family affordable things to do in the Myrtle Beach area. We have listed a few below but check the link to see even more happening during the week.
Hot Summer Nights in Plyler Park! Plyler Park and The Oceanfront Boardwalk will come alive with FREE events six nights per week beginning Monday June 12th and ending Monday September 4th. Friday and Saturday nights will have live bands on the stage in Plyler Park from 8pm until 11pm.
Movies Under The Stars at Valor Park on Friday night beginning at 9:00 pm featuring the Secret Life of Pets (PG). Bring a blanket or lawn chair and the whole family for Movies Under The Stars!
Traditional Music at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm on Saturday from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm. Enjoy a traditional music demonstration that will focus on the fiddle and the banjo, two of the most popular rural area instruments. They will have on site a banjo and fiddle that were owned and played by Horry County citizens. Learn how these two instruments have changed in playing style, how they are tuned, and hear some good ole music.
Surfside Beach Sunday Serenades on Sunday from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Join them for free live music by local musicians. Enjoy great outdoors and spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Weather permitting, we’ll be at Passive Park, locate on Surfside Drive, next to the library.
Whose Beach Is It Anyway? Improv Comedy Show (All Ages) on Friday night and Whose Night Out Is It Anyway? Improv Comedy Show (18+)on Saturday night at 7:30 pm at Uptown Theatre at the Myrtle Beach Mall. In this audience-interactive improv comedy show, we’ll take suggestions from the audience about the funny things that pertain to Myrtle Beach and we’ll use those suggestions to create instant comedy right before your eyes!
