It is not even spring yet and the weather is great down here. That is wonderful since there is so many fun things to do in Myrtle Beach this weekend including two places to celebrate wearing of the green and hunting for those Easter eggs. It is also daylight savings time this weekend so set your clocks ahead one hour at 2:00am on Sunday morning.

“Coach O” Coastal Carolina Invitational on Friday from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Coastal Carolina University and the City of Myrtle Beach host this event, which features top runners from more than three dozen colleges and universities in 14 states, the District of Columbia and the Province of Ontario. In all, more than 1,200 athletes on 60 plus men’s and women’s teams will be training and competing. Daily admission is $5 for adults and free for students.
28th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival on Saturday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and then stay for the festival until 4:00 pm three stages of live music and a children’s area with rides and amusements on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. This one-day, rain or shine event brings approximately 30,000 to celebrate being Irish and welcome the coming of spring. Approximately 150 vendors will display their crafts, services, information, products, or serve a variety of treats.
7th Annual Irish Fest from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm The Market Common. It’s a great family friendly event, with something for everyone including Great Beer, Irish Food, Live Entertainment, Vendors and Kid’s Activities, including face painting, inflatables and much more.
4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Thompson Farms. Call for Details and Reservations: 843-236-1400. Must pre-register for the buffet that looks fantastic! Children will enjoy spending time during brunch with the Easter Bunny and his friends, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Spounge Bob, and a special appearance by OLAF! Spring Tour of Homes 2016 on Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm sponsored by the Art Museum and is one of the most anticipated fundraisers of the year. The Spring Tour of Homes offers a glimpse into seven of the most stylish homes on the Grand Strand. In addition to a feast for the eyes, the day also offers a feast for the taste buds with a luncheon buffet at Pine Lakes Country Club served along with a beautiful golf course view. Reservations are required; Spring Tour of Homes ticket holders only.

Myrtle Mom’s Easter Egg Extravaganza on Sunday from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach for ages up to 9 years. We ask only that everyone please bring a cover dish or drink or chips. This will allow there to be plenty of food for our family picnic. We will have the egg field separated for the age groups. There will be a couple Easter egg baskets there for drawings. PLEASE RSVP ASAP!!
