In this audience-interactive improv comedy show we’ll take suggestions from the audience about life, relationships, work, Myrtle Beach and just about anything else you suggest and we’ll create an instant comedy show right before your eyes! Similar to the television show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”
A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7:00 pm at the Alabama Theatre. A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline appeals to all ages. It provides a wonderful opportunity to blend theatre and music into a magical evening that audiences of all ages will enjoy. Twenty of her best-known songs, played by a live band, make this show a treat for the young and old alike. The songs are performed in their entirety with arrangements, back-up vocals and a band structure all providing an accurate re-creation of the Patsy Cline sound.
34th Annual North Myrtle Beach Winter Run on Saturday beginning at 9:00am. The 34th Annual North Myrtle Beach Winter Run will be held Saturday, January 21, in North Myrtle Beach. The North Myrtle Beach Winter Run is the oldest continuous running event in Horry County. The race is organized by the Grand Strand Running Club. The 5K and 15K races both start at 9:00 a.m. on Ocean Boulevard between 1st Avenue South and 2nd Avenue South. Both races finish on Main Street between Ocean Boulevard and Hillside Drive.
Myrtle Beach SkyWheel Clean-Up Day on Saturday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel wants to make our community beautiful and will be hosting an event on Saturday, January 21st to help clean up the Boardwalk. All supplies will be provided as well as lunch, sponsored by Jimmy Johns. There will be a raffle of great prizes to show our appreciation to all who come out and volunteer their time!
Smokehouse Day at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday. Visit the L. W. Paul Living History Farm to celebrate the pig! Winter was the time of year for curing pork on the farm and a season when the family was dependent on home preserved foods during the cold winter months. Volunteers will demonstrate how foods were preserved and prepared on the farm during the early twentieth century in Horry County. Demonstrations will include smoking and salting meat, cooking on a wood stove, making lye soap, grinding grits, blacksmithing and other traditional farm activities.
The Calvin Gilmore Theater presents An Evening of Magic, at 7:00 pm on Saturday night starring The Wagsters, well-known illusionary duo. They have enchanted our audiences this season during Calvin Gilmore Theater’s Thunder and Light shows, as well as the famed Carolina Opry Christmas Special, and now, by popular demand, their dazzling illusions will take center stage for over an hour, exciting families of all ages.

Concealed Weapons Permit Class at Wicked Fitness on Sunday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. They have partnered with Pegasus Firearms and they are offering a special price. This course is designed to introduce individuals to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning, carrying and using a pistol safely. This course will provide you with the laws for South Carolina, basic weapons nomenclature and the fundamentals of safe shooting and provide the student with the required training to apply for a South Carolina CWP.
