Halloween Happenings Guide 2016

HalloweenWhether you are looking for scary haunts or trick or treating for the kids or other fun things to do in the Myrtle Beach area, here is what’s happening this Halloween in the Grand Strand.

North Myrtle Beach: 

HOWL – O – SCREAM on October 29 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Admission: $5.00 per vehicle.  The Complex transforms into a safe haven for the thrill seekers  in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation Management class for an array of activities to include hayrides, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating and much more. Scare free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that is sure to satisfy all.

BooFest at Barefoot Landing on Oct 29 from noon – 4:00 pm.  Come dressed in your Halloween best for BooFest at Barefoot Landing! Enjoy live entertainment, activities and food!

Dr. Screams at House of Blues and Broadway at the Beach.

2nd Annual Halloween Bash! at East Bay Deli on October 30th from 2:30 – 5:30. There will be a bouncy house, slide, carnival games, face painting, HaHa the clown,fire truck, Halloween costume contest, prizes and more!  We will be taking up non perishable donations for the town of Nichols, which most of which is still flooded. So please come on out from 2:30 until 5:30 and join us for an afternoon of safe family fun!

Myrtle Beach:

Asylum Nightmare Haunted House at the Myrtle Beach Mall from October 7 until the 31st.

Trunk-or-treat at Broadway at the Beach (near WonderWorks) on October 22nd from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm is an interactive experience for kids and their families to check out all kinds of trucks including, emergency vehicles, big rigs & more as well as receive their favorite trick-or-treat candies! Kids will also enjoy other activities including Carousel rides, train rides, a petting zoo and much more! Horn free hour is from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Not So Spooky Halloween Party at the Character Company Party Place on October 23rd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Tickets are $15 and includes snacks, activities, bounce houses and treat bags. VIP Tickets are $25 and include a private meet & greet before the event and a photo with Peter Pan & Tinker-bell.

Terror Under the Bridge at the X Sports Mall. Other Myrtle Beach Haunted Houses and North Myrtle Beach Haunted Houses put on shows, but this is the real deal! If you are going to visit only one indoor haunted attraction, dark adventure, or Halloween event, this season….. this is the one you want to see! October 21st – October 31st. Doors open at 7 pm.

Boo Bash at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina on October 28th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm for a safe and fun trick-or-treating alternative at Museum Manor for our youngest ghouls and goblins. Kids are FREE and adults are only $5! Admission includes: Trick-or-Treating, Themed Activities and crafts, Magic of Science Show, and More!

Celebrity Square Halloween Party on October 29th at Broadway at the Beach. Monsters Ball Costume party starts at 8:00 pm.

Conway:

2016 Conway Ghost Walk : A Halloween Tradition from the 20th – Oct 22nd beginning at the Conway Visitor Center,  903 Third Ave, Conway from 7:00 pm to 8:30 p.m. Professional storytellers weave tales of lowcountry haunts through the shadowy streets of Downtown Conway. This Halloween event features storytellers sharing tales that are always spooky, sometimes humorous and guaranteed to become part of your family’s Halloween tradition. Tours begin each evening at 7:00 pm and leave the box office every 15 minutes until 8:30 pm. The storytelling tour is 60 minutes and the tour route is approximately 1 mile. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Zombie Zone at 1001 North Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach. Beyond these weathered walls resides the very place in your worst nightmares where evil dreams become stark reality. This is the place where horror plays hide-and-with the reluctant dreamer.

Outbreak Haunted Attraction at the Hollywood Wax Museum. Enter at your own risk…

Murrells Inlet:

Halloween on The MarshWalk! on October 31 from 5:00 to 11:00 brings fun and prizes to the whole family! All eight of the MarshWalk restaurants will have great food and drink specials. Ther sponsor for the event will be Crystal Head Vodka will run a pub-crawl with demonstrations and giveaways. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm with Trick-or-Treating along the MarshWalk for the kids. The annual Children’s Costume Contest is at 6:00 pm in front of Drunken Jack’s at the Pirate Statue. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative, best group, funniest, and the scariest for kids ages three and up. Kids ages two and under will compete for the Awes Applause award. Prizes include trophies, ribbons, and candy bags.

The Adult Costume Contest will begin at 7:00 pm. Over $3500 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the top costumes. Categories include People’s Choice, best Duo/Group, Best Individual, Big & Bulky, Murrells Inlet Themed and Honorable Mention. Atalaya Fall Festival and Haunted Castle on Friday and Saturday the 28th and 29th for the whole family.

Trick or treating locations:

Barefoot Landing will host “Trick or Treat” for children from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Merchants throughout Barefoot Landing will be ready to greet costumed children and provide treats.

Broadway at the Beach is inviting  ghouls, goblins, ghosts, superheroes and superstars to Trick or treat from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on October 31. Then stay for Halloween Fireworks at 8:00 pm.

The Market Common invites the whole family including fur babies to make it a night out for the entire family. There will be complimentary carriage rides, music and entertainment in front of The Grand 14 and of course trick or treating from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on October 31.

The Boardwalk will be hosting trick or treating on October 29th from noon to 7:00 pm.

The Character Company Party Place (Myrtle Beach Mall) will host table top trick or treat on October 30th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Join us for a fun filled afternoon of shopping with local vendors & bring a treat bag for the kiddos and enjoy trick or treating at each table. Bounce Passes available for the kids for only $8.00.
