Looking for something fun to do this Labor Day? Sorry kids, this is only for the adults. We have already told you about Coastal Uncorked, but what we didn’t tell you is that along with wine, cold beer and moonshine, there will be some live entertainment at the sixth annual festival. Bands that will be performing include The Paul Grimshaw Band, Randy McQuay and Sweet Sweet.
Catch The Paul Grimshaw Band during Chocolate Under the Moon scheduled for Friday, Sept. 2; Randy McQuay during Brews ‘N the Beach Craft Beer Event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3; and Sweet Sweet during the popular Grand Tasting Wine Event on Sunday, Sept. 4.
So here are some facts about the band line-up sure to wet your appetite, that is if your lips are not already wet.
The Paul Grimshaw Band consists of a four-piece ensemble playing a wide variety of cover tunes from light jazz to hard rock, from country to classic rock, and all points in between. Band namesake, Paul Grimshaw leads on the guitar along side Tom Hanlon, Rob Amodio plays the drums and Marc Serio rounds out the ensemble on the bass. With nearly 750 songs on repertoire, PGB creates their sets heavily by requests. The musical resumes for band members tout session work in New York and Nashville with well-known artists such as Aretha Franklin, Van McCoy, The Drifters, Wet Willie and others along with countless live performances in front of sold-out crowds.
Randy McQuay is a singer-songwriter, who grew up in North Carolina with a passion for music and culture. This passion led him to begin traveling around the Southeast since the age of 16. Randy McQuay is known for an aggressive, soulful and sultry voice. His acoustic style is a result of various picking styles paired with percussion and harmonica tones.
Sweet Sweet, the American folk duo from Myrtle Beach, S.C., first took the stage in 2014 blending the sounds of a cello with acoustic guitar. Sweet Sweet is known for crafting simple songs filled with heartfelt stories and Southern Charm.
