Helicopter Adventures began offering rides around Myrtle Beach in late May. It was set up off 21st Avenue North behind NASCAR SpeedPark, across from Broadway at the Beach.
“A ride in a helicopter can fit the time and budget of almost any family,” they boast on their website. ” Whether you have a short window of time before you run off for some entertainment at Broadway at the Beach or all afternoon to spend, Helicopters Adventures has the solution for you. There’s nothing that compares with hovering over the Grand Strand and getting a bird’s-eye view of the fabulous beach, world-famous attractions and dozens of gorgeous golf courses for which Myrtle Beach is known.” Sounds like a lot of memories will be made.
But the problem is that some neighbors are complaining about the noise. They complained so much that the local zoning board decided to shut them down. Now the circuit board is involved and one moment they are open and another they are closing. Currently they are open while it waits for a ruling if they can stay in business or close down after a few months.
So Myrtle Beach, what do you think? Is there too much noise? Have you had your own helicopter adventure? We will have to wait a little longer to find out the ruling.
