Can you believe there is only two weeks until Christmas? If all the shopping is done or not, we have some suggestions for fun things to do this weekend in the Myrtle Beach area. One of our favorite things is the Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens for the next two weekends.

Museum Movie Classics: White Christmas on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm at the Horry County Museum. White Christmas, is a musical comedy about singers Bob Wallace and Phil Davis who join sister act Betty and Judy Haynes to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There they run into Gen. Waverly the boys’ commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So the foursome decide to team up to help the general and save the inn.
Plaza City Market- Holiday Edition on Friday night from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm and Saturday from 10am-7pm. December 9th there will be a food truck event from 5:00-8:30pm. Saturday will be a full scale Holiday Market with goodies, gifts, and food from . Includes live entertainment.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But wait! A mouse IS stirring— because Santa missed his house last year. Before you can say “Merry Christmas!”, we’re off on the wild adventures of a mouse, an elf, and a spunky little girl who just won’t take no for an answer.
Conway Christmas Parade begins at 10:00 am and this year there will be Clydesdales in attendance.
Gingerbread House Contest on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Come out and make a gingerbread house. Enter it in the contest for a chance to win a $25 Cheeseburger in Paradise gift card. Santa will be there helping judge the contest and will be available for pictures.
Surfside Beach SC Christmas Parade on Saturday from 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm.It’s the annual Surfside Beach SC Christmas Parade! Golf Carts, Marching Bands, Floats, Fire Trucks, we have it all! The parade runs north from Melody Lane to Surfside Drive. Get there early to get your spot. Bring the kids, there will be candy distributed by the various participants.

Christmas Towne 2016 and Tree Lighting Celebration on Sunday from 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm.This is a free, family event featuring live entertainment, games and activities for the kids, along with photos with Santa.Christmas Towne features the official tree lighting ceremony shortly after 6:00 p.m. on the plaza. The festival itself is indoors, and offers children’s games and activities! Parking will be free for those attending.
