I hope all you have your electricity back and are okay.  Everyone is ready to get back to normal and if you are looking for family affordable things for do this weekend in the Myrtle Beach area, we have some great picks for you.

 

Crusin’ the Beach Car Show at Broadway at the Beach is all weekend. Rev your engines and join us! The car show will be held in overflow parking near the Big D Theatre from Thursday, October 13th thru Saturday, October 15th!

Georgetown Boat Show all weekend features one of the Southeast’s best wooden boat exhibits with more than 140 classic wooden boats displayed on land and water, children’s model boatbuilding, knot tying, maritime art and crafts, food and music. A special attraction is Saturday’s Wooden Boat Challenge when teams of two race to build a rowing skiff within a 4-hour time limit and then test their boats for seaworthiness in a rowing relay on the Sampit River. Sunday is a fun-filled family oriented day that includes a Cardboard Boat Building Regatta, and an Opti Pram Regatta.

9th Annual Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest on Friday and Saturday at Valor Park. Enjoy entertainment and of course, beer.  Click the link for the schedule of events. 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday.

37th Annual Loris Bog-Off on Saturday from 9:00 am – 10:00 pm. Over 200 craft, retail and food vendors, 35,000 plus in attendance. Chicken Bog Cooking Contest, live music, fireworks, Free concert by National Country Artist, car & tractor show and much more. Come visit Loris for a day of fun. Free to the public.

Lazy Gator Craft Show on Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Over 30 local crafters from across the Carolinas invite you to come visit their booths at this Low Country Show. A unique blend of artisans will be on hand displaying their crafts.

The Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival on Saturday from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm will be a one day culinary extravaganza located downtown Myrtle Beach between 8th and 9th Avenues North along Ocean Boulevard. From fish to shellfish, and oysters, crabs and all things crustaceous, fresh seafood makes Myrtle Beach such a popular vacation destination and attendees will be able to get their fill at the festival. In addition to a variety of seafood vendors, it will offer free admission, kid-friendly activities, a beer & wine garden and live entertainment. There will be non-seafood options for those wanting something different. Coastal Tailgating will be hosting a corn hole tournament on the festival grounds at 1 p.m., with registration open at 11 a.m.

Price Is Right Contestant search on Saturday from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Myrtle Beach Pelicans TicketReturn.Com Field. TWO finalists from the Myrtle Beach audition will fly to Los Angeles and stay two nights for interviews with show producers!!! ONE of the two finalists will be chosen to “Come On Down” on an episode of The Price is Right. Contestants along with friends and family are invited to attend. There will be games and Tidelands Health will be hosting a free Health Information Day with over 20 stations. Everyone who arrives before 4pm will have a chance to record a brief audition video. Local Brews Local Grooves on Saturday night at House of Blues. VIP Doors – 4:00pm GA Doors – 5:00pm / Show – 5:00pm. The Ultimate Craft Beer & Music Festival featuring the finest Breweries, Hottest Bands & Tastiest Food! Brews include: New South, Carolina, Sierra Nevada, Oskar Blues, Palmetto, Sweetwater, Wolffer Rose Cider, Dark Horse, Sizpoint, Evil Twin and Captain Lawrence. 10th Annual Witches’ Night! on Saturday night beginning at 6:00 pm at the Marshwalk. Each October when the weather cools, the “witches” of the Grand Strand gather to celebrate the changing seasons with the fantastic food and spirits of the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk. This year, Childrens’ Recovery Center of Myrtle Beach has been chosen as the 2016 non-profit fundraising recipient.
