Many of you may not be aware of the shows, talks and events going on at Coastal Carolina University (CCU) that are open to the public. From time to time we will highlight some that we want to share and include with things to do in the Myrtle Beach area.
We also want to introduce you to Quayshon Myers, our CCU Intern for this semester who is writing this post and sharing two events with you.
Starting Thursday, March 23, from 10 am – 2pm, you can drop off books in the Prince Building, in the Biddle Center, or on Prince Lawn at Coastal Carolina University for a Book Drive that will help benefit students within Horry County Schools.
The Book Drive, sponsored by the Golden Key International Honour Society, lasts until Thursday, March 30, so you have plenty of time to donate and show your support to help educate children.
You are allowed to donate new or gently used children’s books, books that are appropriate for the preschool through 12th https://www.viagrasansordonnancefr.com/ grade range, and activity books.
Donate today to help a child in need learn and grow!
Transgender Speaking Seminar
On Thursday, March 23, at 6. P.m. in E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration in room 309, Coastal Carolina University’s Multicultural Student Services Program will be presenting the “I AM Trans” Speaker Seminar.
Special guest speaker Damon Kelsey will be in attendance to give a speech elaborating on the transgender community and their relationship to the public.
Kelsey himself is of transgender identity and his purpose for speaking is to share his personal life experiences to bring awareness to the transgender community as well as to explore differing experiences due to transitioning from the other gender.
Whether or not you are transgender shouldn’t keep you from missing this opportunity to understand the differences the transgender community experiences in their lives.
