As part of I Heart Art, the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum’s year-long 15th anniversary celebration, the month of September has been designated A Tribute to Fine Art and Fabulous Dining. Local restaurants are supporting the Art Museum with Fine Art and Fabulous Dining, an enticing assortment of menu items offered throughout the month of September. The feasting begins at the Sea Captain’s House on September 1 with a four-course Japanese menu highlighted with a Kobe beef entrée.
Other restaurants-the Aspen Grille, Crady’s Eclectic Cuisine on Main in Conway, Croissants Bistro and Bakery and the Melting Pot Restaurant-are offering signature entrées, desserts and cocktails throughout the month. Complete menu offerings can be viewed at IHeartArt.org.
Great StARTs is an opportunity for a good time on Thursday September 13 with sample appetizers and cocktails from 5 to 7 p.m. at restaurants and stores in The Market Common. There’s even an Art Museum scavenger hunt with a winning prize themed around the Museum’s upcoming Jonathan Green poster exhibition. Tickets are $10 per person and will be limited to 250 people (age 21 or older); they may be purchased at the Art Museum (843-238-2510) at 3100 South Ocean Boulevard or at The Market Common Piggly Wiggly.
