Cool Summer Evenings are back again on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from June 8th through August 5th. Brookgreen Gardens will stay open later for you to enjoy live entertainment and more.
The Pavilion Restaurant is open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays so come for dinner and stay for evening boat rides, live entertainment, and ‘just for kids’ activities when the gardens stay open until 9 p.m.
No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted, and picnics must only be enjoyed at the Picnic Area near Jessamine Pond. The Lowcountry Trail and Zoo including the Enchanted Storybook Forest area closes at 8 p.m.
Wednesday and Friday nights mean live music featuring almost every genre of music including jazz, Celtic rock, R & B, country, bluegrass, pop, big band, and more! Thursday evenings are Family Nights with “A Pirate’s Journey Along the Creeks” aboard The Springfield. The pontoon boat rides are at 5, 6, and 7 pm. At the end of the trip, you’ll find the treasure chest and kids pick a keepsake coin from the chest to take home. Each child also gets a pirate hat and a treasure map that is theirs to keep. The Children’s Discovery Room is open until 7 pm and has 30,000 LEGO® bricks available for kids to play with during their visit. June 16 and July 14, “LEGO Talks” will feature First LEGO League (FLL) members presenting demonstrations of robots, talking about their projects, and sharing information about FLL from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., in the Lowcountry Center Courtyard. Beginning June16, they’ll show a LEGO movie at 6:30 pm in the Lowcountry Center Auditorium and Nature Connects Art with LEGO Bricks® will be open until 8 pm in the Zoo!
