The holiday season is not complete without a parade whether it is on land or sea. Make sure to include these fun events when looking for family affordable, holiday activities in the Myrtle Beach area.
Intracoastal Christmas Regatta, on November 26, is always the Saturday After Thanksgiving. Viewing along the Intracoastal Waterway from Little River to North Myrtle Beach, you can watch this spectacular maritime parade at the Little River Inlet beginning at 5 p.m., and travels south arriving at Dock Holidays Marina at 7 p.m. Gather your family and watch the parade as it passes various viewing areas along the waterway from Little River to Dock Holidays Marina.
The 2nd Annual A Very Broadway Christmas at Broadway at the Beach is on December 3rd. The parade begins with the Ripley’s Attractions Myrtle Beach Holiday Parade at 11:00 am. After the parade, head on over to Center Court for live entertainment, food and activities from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. The day leads up to the Tree Lighting Celebration at 6:00 pm with a Grand Finale of Fireworks over Lake Broadway at 8pm!
Since one parade on December 3rd is not enough, there is another Christmas Parade on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach beginning at 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm. Enjoy lighted floats and units representing groups from all across the area.
Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade will be on December 5th beginning at 3:00 pm.The parade starts at Willcox Avenue on Highway 17 Business at 3 p.m. and heads south on Highway 17 Business to Pendergrass Avenue. Following the parade, a tree lighting ceremony will be held at Morse Park Landing, where Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet children.
During the tree lighting, the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk restaurants are sponsoring an “Inlet Snowfall” for those attending the ceremony. New this year, a holiday movie will be shown at the park, and guests are encouraged to bring a chair. The Hot Fish Club will provide hot cocoa and cookies. Guests are encouraged to bring a canned good or unwrapped toy for local charities.
The 23rd Annual ‘Uniting and Celebrating’ Christmas Parade will be in Loris on December 10, at 11am. Each year they accept monetary donations to support with the elderly and youth programs in the community. Those items will be distributed during and after the Christmas Parade. They are in need of donations and are requesting a tax- deductible financial donation from organizations or business towards the purchase of items for the elderly and youth. Conway Chamber Christmas Parade will be on December 10 beginning at 10:00 am.
Surfside Beach Christmas Parade will be on December 10th at 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Ocean Blvd. and Surfside Drive.
