The much anticipated Women In Philanthropy and Leadership (WIPL) Conference will be held on February 8, 2017 from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm at the Sheraton Convention Center. The Conference seeks to educate, motivate and challenge women to lead change in their own lives, their communities and the world. The 2017 program builds upon six previous highly successful events and features notable speakers from the fields of business, entertainment, media and more. This conference never disappoints.

Prior to the Conference, WIPL will hold a pre-conference session on February 7th: Executive Development Program Session: Organizational Communication and Negotiation from from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. This Executive Development Program session will prepare participants to develop their skills communicating with others as well as handling conflict effectively. Communication skills are essential to create business relationships, resolve conflicts, and negotiate successful outcomes. Participants will also learn how to negotiate effectively for themselves and others. At the end of the session, participants will receive a certificate from Coastal Carolina University acknowledging the completion of the training.
The Celebration of Inspiring Women will also be held on the 7th at 6:00 pm at the Convention Center and will honor remarkable individuals and celebrate their contributions to our state, region, nation and world. The Celebration of Inspiring Women awards were created as an important and lasting way to recognize the incredible achievements of women who are from South Carolina or have made the state their home. Since the program’s inception in 2011, more than 30 women have been recognized.
