Today is National Parents’ Day! Every year on the fourth Sunday of July, we celebrate the value and importance of good parenting. Today is the day that we recognize that most parents are doing their best and we should be here to support them.
Happening Kid – Marci Chestnut
Marcella Denise Chestnut (Marci) is one of those girls in high school that you always wondered – how could she do it all. She is smart, athletic, thinks beyond her years, and is adorable. Marci was also just honored by the North Myrtle Beach School District for her perfect attendance in grades 1-8.
High School Artists Win Cash, Scholarship in Art Museum Contest
Thanks to The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum for the post. Thirteen area High School artists received cash prizes and one received a $2,000 college scholarship Sunday, March 27 at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum’s Horry-Georgetown High Schools 11th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, sponsored by Carolina Radiology Associates, LLC.
