On June 3rd and 4th, come to compete or just soak in the family fun by helping Native Sons welcome in the summer with the 5th Annual Salt Games! There are over a dozen events that will be held at the Old Pavilion Site located between 8th and 9th Avenue N. from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. All events are open to the public and FREE to attend.
The 2017 Salt Games is proudly presented by Pacifco Cerveza and there are plenty of ways to “earn your salt” throughout the weekend with competitions like the Pacifco Beach Volleyball Tournament, CrossFit Up Dog Challenge, Ron Jon Pro/Am Surf Off, Beach Bum 5k Race presented by Moe Moon’s and Black Dog Running Co., Boulevard Blowout Skating Competition, Malibu’s Bikini Contest, Full Steam Ahead Lifeguard Challenge, the Paddleboarding competition and the Beach Brawl Wrestling Tournament.
Don’t worry—children can get salty, too! The Salt Games holds awesome kid-friendly events such as the Ben & Jerry’s Fun Run, youth Yoga instruction and the Guppies Surf Clinic by the Surf Dreams Foundation. Plus, the Wild Water and Wheels Kid Zone will be pumping out laughter and joy all day long!
The Salt Games is Native Sons’ celebration of “beach life”, so come join us in representing the greatness of Myrtle Beach! Take it from local legend, Kelly Rhode—“Five years ago the top sports events have always been in Hawaii, California, Australia, or South Africa, but then, Native Sons opened the doors with the first Salt Games in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Since then they kicked the door in. Come on down to a world-class event and experience contestants throwing caution to the wind in all events!” What a fun way to spend a weekend in Myrtle Beach with this family affordable thing to do!
Cheer on the competitors, jam out to live music and get your grub on with Myrtle Beach’s finest food on Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th at The Native Sons 5th Annual Salt Games!
