During the month of October, Fire-Rescue personnel are joining firefighters nationwide in raising awareness for the fight against breast cancer. On-duty fire personnel are showing their commitment to the cause by wearing pink t-shirts with the department’s logo on it throughout the month of October.
Fire-Rescue personnel also have the pink t-shirts for sale, and this year’s design is different from last year’s. The shirts are available in sizes Small through 3XL. Sizes Small, Medium, Large, and XL are $15 each, while sizes 2XL and 3XL are $17 each. Firefighters also have some of the 2011 t-shirts available in Large, at a cost of $10 each.
The pink t-shirts may be purchased at City Hall or Fire Station 1, both located on 2nd Avenue South. Cash and checks are both accepted, and please make checks payable to “NMBPFFA.” Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will be donated to Firefighters4komen.org, with money staying locally to support breast cancer treatments in this area.
Please spread the word to friends and family, and help support our fight against breast cancer.
